Perhaps you long to be healed from sickness and disease.
ISAIAH 61:1 He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted.
Maybe you need healing and restoration from a broken heart.
PSALM 55:20 As for my companion, he betrayed his friends.
You may need healing from the pain of betrayal.
PROVERBS 17:22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person's strength.
At time, you need healing from depression or sadness.
PSALM 103:3 He forgives all my sins.
ROMANS 6:23 The wages of sin is death, but the free gifts of God is eternal life.
You need to be healed from sin.
How does God heal?
2 Kings 20:7 Isaiah said, "Make an ointment from figs, "So Hezekiah's servants spread the ointment over the boil, and Hezekiah recovered!
Through physicians and medicine.
LUKE 5:12-13 "Lord," he said, "if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean." Jesus reached out and touched him. "I am willing," he said. "Be healed!"
Through miracles.
MARK 2:4-5 They couldn't bring him to Jesus because of the crown, so they dug a hole through the roof above his head...Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, "My child, your sins are forgiven."
Through the faith of friends.
ISAIAH 38:16 Lord, your discipline is good, for it leads to life and health.
Through discipline.
GENESIS 27:41, 33:4 Esau hated Jacob...Then Esau ran to meet him and embraced him, threw his arms around his neck, and kissed him. And they both wept.
Through time.
REVELATION 21:4 God will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.
Through God's promise of heaven, for there you will receive complete and final healing.
Why doesn't God always heal people?
2 CORINTHIANS 12:9 My power works best in weakness.
We do not know why God heals some and not others. But we do know that God's power is magnified through our weaknesses and infirmities if we allow him to work within us. If you have been praying for yourself or a loved one to be healed, yet God has not done what you asked, trust that he has something even greater that he wants to accomplish through the illness.
REVELATION 22:1-2 The angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb...On each side of the river grew a tree of life...whose leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.
God has full authority over all sickness. He can heal whomever he chooses. But why he heals some and not others is not known. Sometimes it is his will to release people from their suffering and sickness through death. Eventually, he will remove all sickness and suffering from all his children for eternity. You will live in heaven forever, where there will be no sickness or disease.
Promise from God MALACHI 4:2 For you who fear my name, the sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings, And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture.
